A controlled study (with a control group) by J. \r\n      Gondin showed that after 4 weeks of strength training with \r\n      electrostimulation, the maximum strength increased by 17% without any \r\n      visible hypertrophy, the gain being only attributable to an improvement \r\n      in the muscle control.
