Mais en r\u00e9alit\u00e9, l\u2019utilisation de ces expressions est bien souvent erron\u00e9e. Par exemple, il est absurde d\u2019affirmer que les disques ont gliss\u00e9. En effet, ces derniers sont si bien reli\u00e9s \u00e0 la vert\u00e8bre que l\u2019os risque de se briser avant m\u00eame que le disque ne bouge.<\/p><p>M\u00eame si cela peut pr\u00eater \u00e0 une grande confusion, il n\u2019existe pas vraiment d\u2019informations pr\u00e9cises sur les causes ou les manifestations d\u2019un mal de dos. Cependant, avec quelques pr\u00e9cautions, il est possible de <strong>r\u00e9duire consid\u00e9rablement les risques de l\u00e9sions<\/strong>. M\u00eame si plusieurs l\u00e9sions peuvent survenir au niveau du rachis, ces derni\u00e8res ne peuvent pas provenir de faiblesses de la structure de cette partie du corps.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h3>La structure du dos<\/h3><p>Tout d\u2019abord, il convient de souligner que la colonne vert\u00e9brale fonctionne comme un syst\u00e8me m\u00e9canique. Elle est compos\u00e9e de muscles, d\u2019os et de nerfs. La colonne qui sert \u00e0 <strong>soutenir le corps et couvrir la moelle \u00e9pini\u00e8re<\/strong>\u00a0est compos\u00e9e de 24 vert\u00e8bres. Chacune des vert\u00e8bres est compos\u00e9e <em>d\u2019apophyse<\/em>s. Il s\u2019agit de corps vert\u00e9bral de forme cylindrique ayant des expansions osseuses sur les c\u00f4t\u00e9s et \u00e0 l\u2019arri\u00e8re. Chaque corps vert\u00e9bral dispose \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur puis \u00e0 l\u2019arri\u00e8re, d\u2019un canal rachidien.<\/p><p>D\u2019un autre c\u00f4t\u00e9, chaque vert\u00e8bre est <strong>associ\u00e9e \u00e0 deux racines nerveuses<\/strong>, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire \u00e0 des nerfs. Ceux-ci servent, \u00e0 leur tour, de liaisons entre les muscles, les organes puis la peau. Un simple dysfonctionnement au niveau des nerfs peut donc entra\u00eener des probl\u00e8mes au niveau de toute la structure du dos.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h3>Le fonctionnement de la structure du dos<\/h3><p>Au premier abord, il faut remarquer que l\u2019int\u00e9gralit\u00e9 du poids de chaque individu est support\u00e9e par les corps vert\u00e9braux. Les apophyses, quant \u00e0 eux, servent de points de fixation pour les muscles et les ligaments. Ces derniers s\u2019y accrochent fortement et agissent comme des fils rattach\u00e9s \u00e0 un pieu. Par ailleurs, c\u2019est gr\u00e2ce au rattachement solide des ligaments que l\u2019\u00eatre humain r\u00e9ussit \u00e0 tenir debout.<\/p><p>De plus, c\u2019est sous l\u2019action du muscle \u00e9recteur du rachis que chaque individu r\u00e9ussit \u00e0 maintenir les articulations du dos. Aussi bien lorsqu\u2019il est assis, que quand il se l\u00e8ve ou encore lorsqu\u2019il se penche vers l\u2019avant. C\u2019est \u00e9galement gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ce muscle, qui s\u2019\u00e9tend du cr\u00e2ne au sacrum, que l\u2019homme parvient \u00e0 <strong>effectuer des mouvements de rotation et de flexion lat\u00e9rale<\/strong>\u00a0au niveau des abdominaux.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h3>Comment \u00e9viter de causer des dommages\u00a0au disque\u2009?<\/h3><p>La structure du dos, plus pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment les composantes du disque, permet \u00e0 l\u2019organisme de <strong>supporter une charge avoisinant 680 kilos<\/strong>. Que ce soit chez un sportif ou pas, vouloir d\u00e9ployer une grande force pour d\u00e9passer cette limite peut se r\u00e9v\u00e9ler fatal pour la vert\u00e8bre. Cela pourrait par exemple cr\u00e9er un \u00e9crasement de la vert\u00e8bre suivi de la rupture du disque. Pour \u00e9viter de causer des dommages au disque, il faut\u00a0:<\/p><ul><li>Repartir les masses \u00e9quitablement quand il s\u2019agit de soulever de lourdes charges\u2009;<\/li><li>\u00c9viter de
