by damien

It is estimated that there are now over 525 million people on Earth who do not eat animal flesh or eggs, a large proportion of whom are in India. Whether it's for nutritional reasons or because of an ecological conviction, the Vegan diet has never been so popular! We give you the reasons for its success. . .

WHY ADOPT THE VEGAN STYLE?

Respect for animals

Animals are the object of experiments and massive exploitation. They provide our daily food "needs", our "comfort" or our "entertainment".

Respect for the environment

The meat industry is one of the main contributors to global warming: it produces more greenhouse gases than all the trucks, cars, planes and ships in the world combined! Livestock farming is also the main cause of deforestation in the world & of the decrease in drinking water reserves!

Preserving our health

Veganism is nowadays validated by numerous studies as the healthiest food practice one can adopt. This diet is sufficient in energy intake and complete in essential nutrients.

Being in solidarity

Livestock consume huge quantities of grain and cereals: it is considered that to produce 1kg of beef, 16kg of cereals are needed. If the whole world became vegetarian, the Earth could easily feed 15 billion people.
